Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together egg, oil, sugars, lime zest, and juice. Add buttermilk.
In another bowl, mix flour, ginger, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture.
Stir in cranberries and pour the batter into the prepared pan. Smooth the top.
Bake for 30 minutes, tent with foil, and bake another 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
