Crispy Oyster Mushrooms

Perfect as an appetizer or snack, these crispy oyster mushrooms mimic the texture of fried chicken.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 ounces oyster mushrooms
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¾ cup cold water
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Mushrooms: Clean and trim mushrooms into smaller pieces.
  • Prepare Batter: Mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Slowly add water until a smooth batter forms.
  • Fry: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Dip mushrooms into the batter, shake off excess, and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • Serve: Pair with your favorite dipping sauce for a delightful crunch.
