Crispy Oyster Mushrooms
Perfect as an appetizer or snack, these crispy oyster mushrooms mimic the texture of fried chicken.
- 10 ounces oyster mushrooms
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¾ cup cold water
- Vegetable oil for frying
Prep the Mushrooms: Clean and trim mushrooms into smaller pieces.
Prepare Batter: Mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Slowly add water until a smooth batter forms.
Fry: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Dip mushrooms into the batter, shake off excess, and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Serve: Pair with your favorite dipping sauce for a delightful crunch.
