Homemade Cavender’s Greek Seasoning Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 teaspoons salt adjust to taste or omit for a no-salt version
  • 4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 4 teaspoons dried basil
  • 4 teaspoons dried Greek oregano
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 2 teaspoons dried marjoram
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch optional, for preventing clumping
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

Mix the Ingredients:

  • In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients: salt, garlic powder, basil, oregano, cinnamon, black pepper, parsley, rosemary, dill, marjoram, cornstarch, thyme, and nutmeg.

Grind for Finer Texture (Optional):

  • For a smoother, finer blend, use a spice grinder or a dedicated coffee grinder. Pulse until the desired consistency is achieved.

Store in an Airtight Container:

  • Transfer the mix to a jar or container with a tight-fitting lid. Store it in a cool, dark place with your other spices.

Use as Needed:

  • This seasoning works wonderfully in marinades, salad dressings, or sprinkled directly on meats, veggies, and grains.
