Homemade Honey Roasted Oats Recipe
Making your own honey roasted oats ensures you avoid unnecessary additives and customize the mix to your taste.
- Dry Ingredients:
- 1½ cups rolled oats
- 1 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds
- 1 tbsp raw sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- ¼ cup raw almonds chopped
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Wet Ingredients:
- ¼ cup honey or golden syrup
- 45 ml vegetable oil or coconut oil for extra flavor
- Serving Suggestions:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- Fresh fruit jam, or dried fruit
Prepare: Preheat your oven to 180°C (355°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper or foil.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a saucepan, heat honey and oil over low heat for 2 minutes until combined.
Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Mix oats, seeds, nuts, and cinnamon with the honey-oil blend.
Bake: Spread the mixture evenly on the tray. Bake for 20–25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even toasting.
Cool and Store: Let the oats cool, then store in an airtight jar for up to 2 weeks.
