Homemade Honey Roasted Oats Recipe

Making your own honey roasted oats ensures you avoid unnecessary additives and customize the mix to your taste.

Ingredients
  

  • Dry Ingredients:
  • cups rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup raw almonds chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Wet Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup honey or golden syrup
  • 45 ml vegetable oil or coconut oil for extra flavor
  • Serving Suggestions:
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • Fresh fruit jam, or dried fruit

Instructions
 

  • Prepare: Preheat your oven to 180°C (355°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper or foil.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a saucepan, heat honey and oil over low heat for 2 minutes until combined.
  • Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Mix oats, seeds, nuts, and cinnamon with the honey-oil blend.
  • Bake: Spread the mixture evenly on the tray. Bake for 20–25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even toasting.
  • Cool and Store: Let the oats cool, then store in an airtight jar for up to 2 weeks.
