How Are Bollitos Made?

  • ¾ cup water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix the cornflour, water, and salt until a pliable dough forms.
  • Shape the dough into small submarine shapes.
  • Boil the shaped dough in water for about 15 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  • Serve hot, optionally paired with toppings like butter, cheese, or Guasacaca (Venezuelan avocado sauce).

Notes

For a heartier option, try bollitos pelones, which involve filling the dough with seasoned ground beef or chicken and cooking them in a rich tomato sauce.
