How to Make Silky, Creamy Orange Gelato

Ingredients
  

  • 200 mL fresh orange juice about 3 good-sized oranges
  • 45 mL fresh lemon juice
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 500 mL milk
  • 30 g skim milk powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a frozen ice cream maker pot.
  • Churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (approximately 35 minutes).
  • Freeze for a few hours to set and serve.

Notes

Avoid adding orange zest if you prefer a less bitter flavor. If you enjoy a hint of bitterness, add less than 5 g.
This recipe makes approximately 500 mL of gelato.
