Jelly Danish Rings
Creating a jelly danish ring at home is easier than you might think. Here’s a simple guide:
Classic Flavors:
- Sweet yeast dough (or store-bought puff pastry for convenience)
- Fruit jelly of your choice (e.g., raspberry, apricot)
- Powdered sugar and milk for the glaze
Prepare the Dough: Roll out the dough into a long rectangle (approx. 50cm).
Add the Filling: Spread your chosen jelly evenly over the dough
Shape the Ring: Roll the dough tightly, bring the ends together, and form a circle
Slice and Shape: Partially cut 12 segments along the ring and gently twist them outward.
Bake: Place on a lined baking sheet (with a tray underneath to catch drips) and bake until golden brown.
Glaze: Once cooled, drizzle with a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.
