Jelly Danish Rings

Creating a jelly danish ring at home is easier than you might think. Here’s a simple guide:

Ingredients

Classic Flavors:

  • Sweet yeast dough (or store-bought puff pastry for convenience)
  • Fruit jelly of your choice (e.g., raspberry, apricot)
  • Powdered sugar and milk for the glaze

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough: Roll out the dough into a long rectangle (approx. 50cm).
  • Add the Filling: Spread your chosen jelly evenly over the dough
  • Shape the Ring: Roll the dough tightly, bring the ends together, and form a circle
  • Slice and Shape: Partially cut 12 segments along the ring and gently twist them outward.
  • Bake: Place on a lined baking sheet (with a tray underneath to catch drips) and bake until golden brown.
  • Glaze: Once cooled, drizzle with a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.
