Making Mortadella Pizza at Home
For a homemade version, try the following recipe inspired by classic Italian traditions:
- 1 ball of pizza dough store-bought or homemade
- 140 g fresh mozzarella slivered
- 4 slices of mortadella
- 8 yellow date tomatoes halved
- 1 burrata
- 1 tbsp crushed pistachios
- Olive oil and a pinch of sea salt
Prepare the Dough: Preheat your oven to 425°F. Stretch the pizza dough onto a lightly oiled pizza pan, ensuring an even thickness.
First Layer: Top the dough with slivered mozzarella and halved yellow date tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
Bake: Place the pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the mozzarella has melted.
Finish: Remove the pizza from the oven. Add fanned slices of mortadella, torn burrata, and crushed pistachios.
Serve: Slice and enjoy!
