Recipe: Persimmon Pudding

Ingredients
  

  • 3 large cinnamon persimmons peeled and mashed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup chopped nuts
  • ½ cup raisins

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Mix all ingredients and pour into a buttered casserole dish.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
  • Serve with a butter cream sauce.
