The Ultimate Doo Doo Balls Recipe
Here’s a simple, modified recipe inspired by classic peanut butter and chocolate treats. This version is easy to make, no-bake, and perfect for any occasion.
- 1 (18 oz.) jar of smooth peanut butter
- 1 (16 oz.) bag of confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chocolate candy melts)
- 2 tsp shortening (for smooth chocolate coating)
Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, and melted butter.
Use your hands to mix until the dough becomes smooth and pliable. This ensures the filling holds together for rolling.
Shape the Balls
Line a baking sheet with wax paper or foil.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the sheet in rows.
Chill in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm up the filling, making it easier to dip into chocolate.
Melt the Chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and shortening.
Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and glossy.
Coat the Balls
Remove the chilled balls from the freezer. Insert a toothpick or skewer into each ball and dip it into the melted chocolate.
Swirl the chocolate to coat evenly, then place the dipped balls onto a fresh sheet of wax paper.
For a decorative touch, drizzle extra chocolate on top or add sprinkles before the coating hardens.
